BookmarkPro Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 31, 2026
BookmarkPro is a native desktop application designed with privacy by default. We do not collect, store, track, sell, or share any personal data.
Key Principles
- No account creation required.
- No analytics, telemetry, or tracking.
- No advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting.
- No third-party SDKs that collect personal data.
- No server-side data processing by BookmarkPro.
- No third-party data sharing.
Data Storage
- BookmarkPro operates entirely on-device on Windows and macOS. Your bookmarks remain on your device.
- All bookmark data is stored locally in your device's application data directory.
- If you enable WebDAV sync, bookmark data is synced to your own WebDAV server that you control.
- BookmarkPro does not have access to your WebDAV server credentials or data; encryption is handled locally.
Network Access
- Network requests occur only when you explicitly enable WebDAV sync and are initiated by you.
- BookmarkPro does not proxy, persist, or log these sync requests.
- Browser extension communication happens only locally between the extension and the app.
Security
- As no data is collected or retained by BookmarkPro, there is no app-managed data at rest on our servers.
- You are responsible for securing your device (e.g., password, biometric lock) and any WebDAV servers you choose to use.
- All WebDAV sync uses secure HTTPS connections configured by you.
Changes to This Policy
If our approach changes, we will update this page with the effective date and a summary of changes. We remain committed to minimizing data collection.
